Doctor Who companions

See How Doctor Who Companions Affect Online Discussion

The lovely chaps at TVShowtime.com have furnished us with an infographic showing how frequently Doctor Who companions and other characters were discussed after each episode.

The site/app allows you coordinate TV-viewing par excellence – the next best thing to abandoning physical form altogether and becoming a being of pure televisual energy. You can track when shows are on and available online, join in discussion with other fans and download or stream direct from the site. There are apparently over 40 000 series to chose from and -of course- that includes the good Doctor.

This infographic uses data from the online discussion from fans after each episode and sums the number of times a character’s name appears. The site has over 200 000 members – not *all * will be Who fans though there’s sure to be a good number in there (all the best people). Take a look below – first here’s a quick reminder of the title…

  1. Asylum of the Daleks
  2. Dinosaurs on a Spaceship
  3. A Town Called Mercy
  4. The Power of Three
  5. The Angels Take Manhattan
  6. The Bells of St John
  7. The Rings of Akhaten
  8. Cold War
  9. Hide
  10. Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS
  11. The Crimson Horror
  12. Nightmare in Silver
  13. The Name of the Doctor

Doctor Who companions

What do you think – anything surprising? Interesting to see how much more of an impact Rory’s departure had on the audience than Amy’s. And it’s nice to see that everyone got some attention at the finale. What think ye Kasterborites? Fancy seeing one of the WHOLE of New Who?… We can ask…
