Matt Smith Will “Happily” Return To Doctor Who!

Come the 60th anniversary and Matt Smith may once again don the fez, tie his bow tie and spread Jamie Dodger crumbs around the TARDIS.

The Eleventh Doctor commented that he would love to appear alongside his fellow Doctors once again during his appearance at the Wizard World Comic Con Panel.

Speaking of his time filming with the Tenth Doctor David Tennant for the 50th anniversary special, The Day of the Doctor, Smith said:

It was a real historic moment for me. I always look at David and go, ‘Oh my god. It’s Doctor Who!’ David is a great guy and a good friend. It was so fun. Doctors in the same room is just magic, isn’t it!

Smith then went on to utter the kind of exhilarating words that he’ll have to strenuously deny come any future anniversary event:

I’ll happily come back for another anniversary!

Huzzah! See you in 2023! Make sure you clear your space diary (it is the future after all)

About the Author

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.

And we’d be happy to see him back too along with a few others!

Never know what will happen with those get togethers. Eccleston might have softened up by then, he’d be in his late 50′s by then and might even step in.

Exactly, just look at the different attitudes of Tom Baker between the 20th Anniversary and the 50th?

The thing with Matt is he’s so bloody self effacing and unaware of his own talent he probably thinks he’ll need the job in 2023 because he won’t be getting any other work by then which I am quite sure will not be the case!
