Mel, Ace, Davros, and Leela Set for First Sheffield Film and Comic Con!

Organisers have announced the lineup for the very first Sheffield Film and Comic Con to be held at Motorpoint Arena and it’s a watershed for Classic Who companion fans!

In addition to stars like Battlestar Galactica/A-Team star, Dirk Benedict, several stars from Classic Doctor Who are scheduled to appear at the event. That lineup includes Bonnie Langford (Mel), Sophie Aldred (Ace), Lousie Jameson (Leela), and Terry Molloy (Davros).

A spokesman from the event organizers, Showmasters, had this to say:

“We are pleased to announce we will be running our first show in Sheffield. Sheffield Film and Comic Con is our new show and we will be taking over the Motorpoint Arena.
Taking place over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, August 30 and 31, Sheffield Film and Comic Con promises to bring you some of your favourite stars from TV, film and comics as well as a host of fun activities including photo shoots, panels, autograph sessions and hundreds of stalls full of TV and film memorabilia to browse.”

Tickets are on sale now and can be found here. Will any of you be attending when the event hits Sheffield late this summer? Sound off below!

“That’s bacon! Are you trying to poison me?” And from that line on, I’ve been unable to stop watching, reading, musing about the Doctor. As a recent transplant to the Whoniverse, I’ve been trying to soak up as much Who-related knowledge as possible. That journey has taken me from the Tenth Planet to the Fields of Trenzalore and gently set me at the edge of my seat for what’s next. It’s an honor to be here and I plan to bring a unique perspective. I hope you’ll enjoy the journey alongside me.
