Doctor Who Hits Middlesbrough With The Shadow Proclamation Convention!

Stars of Doctor Who past and present will be attending The Shadow Proclamation, a convention at Middlesbrough on the weekend of the Saturday 23rd and 24th August.

For the inexplicably unaware among you, Middlesbrough is in the North East of England, situated about halfway between York and Newcastle-upon-Tyne.  Crucially, it is also the area from which this very website operates!

Among the guests invited are:

  • Paul McGann – the Eighth Doctor.
  • Colin Baker – the Sixth Doctor.
  • William Russell – Ian Chesterton, companion to the First Doctor.
  • Peter Purves – Steven Taylor, companion to the First Doctor.
  • Ian Cullen – First Doctor era.
  • Anneke Wills – Polly Wright, companion to the First and Second doctors.
  • Frazer Hines – Jamie McCrimmon, companion to the Second Doctor.
  • Deborah Watling – Victoria Waterfield, companion to the Second Doctor.
  • Louise Jameson – Leela, companion to the Fourth Doctor.
  • Nicola Bryant – Perry Brown, companion to the Fifth and Sixth Doctors.
  • Philip Olivier- Thomas Hector Schofield aka Hex, audio companion to the Seventh Doctor.
  • Tracy Childs – Elizabeth Klein, audio companion to the Seventh Doctor.
  • Tommy Knight – Luke Smith, in the Sarah-Jane Smith Adventures and Doctor Who.
  • Colin Salmon – played Doctor Moon in the Tenth Doctor episodes Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead.
  • Catrin Stewart – Jenny Flint, Eleventh Doctor era.
  • Peter De Jersey – Played Androgar in the Eleventh Doctor episode The Day of the Doctor.

Ideally situated in the town centre and close to shops, pubs, and close to the train and bus stations – not to mention the A66 and A19 road links -  Middlesbrough Town Hall is situated near the Thistle Hotel, only 400 metres away, while a Travelodge is also within walking distance. You will also find Premier Inn and Best Western hotels a short drive away. Saturday and Sunday daytimes will be for photo shoots, autograph sessions, meet and greets etc. On the Saturday evening there is entertainment from our master of ceremonies Toby Hadoke plus a live band.

Various ticket options are available – head to the event’s website for full details.
