Guardians of the Galaxy Trailer Coming Soon!

The trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy is due to be released imminently – but will we see the delightful Karen Gillan, aka Amy Pond?

Gillan plays Nebula, a major villain in the film, so it’s likely that we’ll at least glimpse her in all her bald-headed glory. The first teaser image was unveiled at the tail end of 2013, but only featured the main team, comprising of Starlord, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Groot, and Rocket Raccoon.

The trailer has been classified by the Alberta Ratings Board, and is listed as 2 minutes, 23 seconds long. There’ll probably a cut-down version for TV and is likely to be included in the tediously-long trailers section before Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which is released in the UK next month (yes, I’m exited after seeing that Superbowl trailer too!). But don’t worry; it’ll be all over the internet within a week or so…

Karen’s character, Nebula, made her debut in 1985, a citizen of the planet Luphom; in the Marvel comics, she’s not bald, so maybe this is artistic license on the part of director, James Gunn.

Guardians of the Galaxy will probably lead into Avengers: Age of Ultron, due in cinemas next year – which begins filming in Johannesburg, South Africa tomorrow!
