Lips Are Sealed On Billie Piper’s Part

We’re just hours away from enjoying The Day of the Doctor - and still the part Billie Piper is set to play in Doctor Who‘s 50th anniversary is causing a buzz of exceitement among fans!

While we’re expecting many surprises in the cinematic episode, the role of Piper – apparently not as the Rose Tyler we remember – has been he subject of discussion at this weekend’s Doctor Who Celebration in London. On a panel yesterday with Jenna Coleman, Matt Smith, Steven Moffat and departing producer Marcus Wilson, the Clara Oswald actress confessed:

I have been told to say nothing regarding Billie. So that will be a big surprise tomorrow night.

A surprise indeed! Meanwhile, Coleman confessed that her saddest moment on the show so far is “Saying goodbye to this one,” as she pointed at Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith.

:sniff:

Time itself manifested as Rose Tyler. Guiding the war Doctor to destroy the Time Lords and Daleks in order to save the universe.

She’s the Bad Wolf, there’s no doubt about that. But the question is why then didn’t Nine recognize her? Or didn’t he? Friend of mine rewatched Rose and says Eccleston’s performance could be read that he almost seems to know her. So who knows?

  2. avatar Brian Condra says:

The war Doctor alone can see her, like River Song and Dr 11 at the end of the last series.

Well guess I was right, kinda!

    She was magnificent.

The interface(in the form of Rose) said something along the lines of “This form is from your past. Or your future. I always get the two mixed up.” It even said the name “Rose Tyler”. So yes, Ninth should’ve known Rose when he met her, BUT Hurt’s Doctor was forced to forget the whole thing, as well as Tennant, unfortunately. So no, Ninth didn’t know Rose.
