Doctor Who Takes Cover of USA’s TV GUIDE

Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith has made the cover of the US’s TV Guide Magazine! A large picture of Smith brandishing his sonic screwdriver features prominently, as does “DOCTOR WHO” written in large print above the TV Guide logo. A small TARDIS is seen floating in the background.

The special holiday preview issue also features a 4-page spread on the show, including a huge double-page photo of a silhouetted Smith and Tenth Doctor David Tennant. There is also a small side article and photo (probably from The Thick of It) featuring upcoming Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi.

This is, quite frankly, terrific coverage from the US’s main television magazine.

TV Guide’s spotlight on Doctor Who comes just on the heels of the US’s Entertainment Weekly new issue naming the “delightful” and “charming” An Adventure in Space and Time to their Must List (The Top 10 Things We Love This Week) of ALL entertainment choices for the week!

The picture is cut off here – is that David “Next Doctor” Morrissey in his Walking Dead guise on the cover too?

Wonderful to see DW in front of the American masses. I will have to look for this issue when I go to the grocery store tonight.
Ahhhh my dream of the American masses watching Doctor Who and having their entertainment bar raised a bit…. wouldn’t that be fantastic.
