The Day of the Doctor Trailer Available Online! (Updated) [VIDEO]

I was disturbed last night by the news that one of the trailers for The Day of the Doctor has been leaked online; and I use the word “disturbed” in both senses. Surely a better hold could have been kept onto these trailers in Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary year?

Ah well, who knows how the BBC works?

So, in summary: one of the two reported trailers appeared online late Friday evening with Spanish (forgive me if it’s Portuguese!) voiceover and captions accompanying the very English dialogue of Matt Smith, John Hurt, Billie Piper, Jenna Coleman and more. Since then, the trailer has been officially published on the BBC’s official website.

And it is jaw-droppingly impressive.

Among the shocking scenes are this very spoilery image found on Twitter:

Don’t say we didn’t warn you. Meanwhile, we’re currently adding screencaps from the trailer to our Facebook Page. Head on over there to see what’s what in the trailer in more detail.

The originally-released trailer with Spanish subtitles can be found below… we kind of like it ;)

That’s if you can’t wait a few hours…

Now that’s the sort of trailer we have been waiting for, wets our appetite for the 50th without any real spoilers.

    • pan-dimensional spider Daleks are a nice fan nod…

It looks lovely, and yes, gets you excited without giving too much away – the sign of a good trailer.

Ps – I love the battered look of Hurt’s Tardis. Surely the lone Tardis in the desert is a homage to the ending of episode one of an Unearthly Child.

Looks like we’ll finally know what “The Moment” is all about. And it looks like Bad Wolf Rose is with Hurt-Doc… kinda makes you wonder if she was always there? Something timey wimey is going on…

  4. avatar dr jon says:

What was wrong with rose’s eyes could she be a zygon in human form? And i wonder if john hurt’s dr will have his own tardis.

rose is the bad wolf rose! btw did anyone hear paul mcgann’s voice at the start – he morphs into matt smith after “i’ve had many lives”….
