The Day of the Doctor Trailer Airs on BBC One

This evening between Strictly Come Dancing and Atlantis, BBC One aired the first TV trailer for The Day of the Doctor – and it’s not the one you saw earlier!

Click play above to watch it – you’ll notice some considerable differences with the trailer you’ve already seen.

One thing strikes us at present: is that really Rose Tyler, or the Bad Wolf?

You can see a gallery of images from this trailer on our Facebook Page.

Oh, joy! The moment Tennant started to say “You’ve redecorated!” my night was made. I have no idea where Moffat is going with this thing but t the moment I don’t care. That was glorious!

Well, it’s been obvious that it’s not the Rose we know for sometime, as 10 hadn’t met a younger Elizabeth1st, til after Martha. (see Shakespeare Code). Also the clothes she is wearing from the released stills today shows that her dress & style isn’t the Rose of season. 1&2. Intriguing!

  5. BOJAY says:

It looks BRILLIANT. Like nothing I could have set to imagining, if I’d tried. I am more stoked than ever for this…….

  6. TimeChaser says:

Looks suitably epic. I like the nod to The Three Doctors with Ten saying “You’ve redecorated… I don’t like it!”

    • Al says:

Not just the Three Doctors … The Five Doctors as well.

      • David F says:

        And Time Crash.

    • Roger Royer says:

Actually the Doctor has said that line many many times and it is always the same

      • DonnaM says:

But it always makes me laugh. Maybe I’m easily amused!

  7. Geoff says:

I think the phrase I’m looking for is: aaaaaaaaaaaaggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

    • Geoff says:

What’s to thumb down? I mean aaaaggghhh! With excitement!

  8. Geoff says:

Can I just add. I thought I was prepared. I thought I was disappointed not to see a classic Doctor or two but when I actually saw 10 and 11 together…..Incredible. Love it.

  9. Dion Page says:

    Zygon is Rose!!!!

  10. Paul Bines says:

Love it! More than a few nice nods, and I suspect there will be a LOT more to come.
As for Billie Piper’s character, I get the feeling that she is not ‘The’ Rose, but ‘A’ Rose…

  11. vortexter says:

Looks like a totally different Rose than that we know. How would our Rose know about ‘The Moment?’ But I am suitably impressed as it looked more like a feature film. Great stuff!

  12. vortexter says:

Oh, and go to 0:45 and there appear to be two Kate’s. Blimey!

  13. Chris Becker says:

    Rose is Paul McGann.

  14. dr jon says:

There could be two rose’s one a zygon and two a human rose. I think john hurt’s dr pick’s rose up in his tardis as it looks like the timelords are alive in his time zone so he could still travel to another parallel earth quite easy.

  15. Ranger says:

I don’t know what the hell is going on and that just makes me even more excited! Great to see 10 again.
