Commander Strax Lodges Field Report on Zygons

Calling Commander Strax! This is Sontar! Calling Commander Strax!

Once again, the BBC’s Doctor Who Team have intercepted Strax’s latest field report Z115/D aka a brief look at the Doctor’s old foes, the Zygons – who’ll be making their onscreen return in the 50th anniversary special The Day of the Doctor.

Many boffins died to bring us this information…

These monstrous shape-shifters first battled the Doctor in The Terror of the Zygons, and have since become one the most popular, little seen, of the Doctor’s many antagonists. During The Power of Three it’s strongly implied that the Doctor, Amy and Rory have an anniversary break at The Savoy Hotel ruined by the replicating rogues.

The Zygons return in The Day of the Doctor on Saturday, 23 November on BBC One – as if you didn’t know!

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
