UK & US Airdates Confirmed For Gatiss’ Adventure![UPDATED]

The news you’ve been waiting for has finally been announced: BBC Two has confirmed the airdate and timeslot for Mark Gatiss’ Doctor Who docudrama An Adventure In Space And Time!

A film about the genesis of Doctor Who and the show’s original star William Hartnell, An Adventure… stars David Bradley (Harry Potter, Dinosaurs on a Spaceship) with Brian Cox (any brilliant film you can think of, The End of Time Part One) as Sydney Newman, Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife, Hide) as Verity Lambert, Sacha Dhawan as Waris Hussein and Jamie Glover as William Russell. Interestingly, William Russell himself and Carole Ann Ford also appear in the drama.

Meanwhile, BBC America subsequently announced that the film – which they co-produced with the BBC – will première the following day, Friday, November 22, 9:00pm ET/PT.

    I must say i’m looking forward to this almost as much as the 50th episode itself. If any one has seen the documentary on the beginings box set it should be a good as the real story of the show was very interesting.

    And BBC America has announced they will be airing it at 9 PM on Nov. 22. Looks like we’ll have a full Doctor Who weekend: this, the 50th on Saturday, and a Best of Eleven marathon leading to the final Doctors Revisited on Sunday.
