Daily Dalek Mug Of The Month!

We’re giving away a Daily Dalek mug this week with our new feature, Mug of the Month!

Here at Kasterborous Towers, despite the high tech equipment required for writing and running a website of this size, we lead a sedentary lifestyle, with much time spent on the allotment patch growing wonderful new articles for your perusal.

So you can imagine my surprise when a mug tree popped up this week, adorned with delicious fruit from Tone Cartoons.

I’m talking, of course, about the mug you see pictured above, in which Marvin the Paranoid Android bemoans his lot to a baffled Dalek.

This is, of course, a great cartoon from the fantastic web comic The Daily Dalek, which you can follow at www.tonecartoons.co.uk/blog. Artist Tone has given us one of these mugs to share – they don’t really grow on trees, fakt (with a “k”) fans – and you can own one very easily indeed.

To win, simply leave a comment on this post telling us what drink you would enjoy in this mug while watching The Enemy of the World.

You have until midnight on Friday, October 18th, and we’ll be announcing a winner on Saturday.

  1. John Lindsay says:

Plain old tea will do me fine! Super-heated infusion of free-radicals and tannin, just the thing for healing the synapses! :-)

  2. Irish Coffee. YUM!

  3. Christine says:

I’ll start with a nice mug of (strong) black coffee, followed by a glass of Italian Red wine. Or two…

  4. Mr Paddy says:

I’d be drinking strong black coffee. Sorry, not terribly interesting is it.. although it’d certainly keep the synapses firing for an all-the-way-through viewing of Enemy of the World, which has already jumped up massively in my estimations. It’s up there with my favourite Troughton serials now, I even enjoyed it more than Web of Fear, which I found quite surprising.

  5. Lozzer says:

Seeing as I didn’t winThe Vault when there was only two of us who entered that comp I don’t rate my chances, but… I would definitely go with my favourite chocolate oveltine and a couple of Freddo The Frog choc bars for dunking pleasure.

  6. TraineeHellcat says:

A nice Bordeaux circa 1968 – a good year and well worth the wait!

  7. Irish Coffee hehe Deliicious.

  8. Jasmin says:

Anything the color of a salamander. So when the episode is over i can down it and say “Salamander has been vanquished!”

  9. A nice milky brew! May sound a bit boring and dull, but it is rather nice!

  10. Chris Straughn says:

I’d drink a Pan Galactic Gargleblaster!

Raxacoricofallapatorius root beer. And why not? :D

  12. Jed Swiecichowski says:

Black coffee with a touch of Bailey’s Irish Cream

  13. Jeni says:

    TEA! XD Green tea.

  14. Kailynn Weimer says:

I would drink both coffee and chai tea.

  15. Mandy Roberts says:

Tea, tea, & more tea. With the occasional coffee.

  16. Darren W says:

Tea, Earl Grey, Hot, with a splash of milk.

  28. Patrick Ball says:

“It is a curious fact, and one to which no one knows quite how much importance to attach, that something like 85% of all known worlds in the Galaxy, be they primitive or highly advanced, have invented a drink called jynnan tonnyx, or gee-N’N-T’N-ix, or jinond-o-nicks, or any one of a thousand or more variations on the same phonetic theme.” [The Restaurant at the End of the Universe] I would go for “the Gagrakackan ‘tzjin-anthony-ks’ which kill cows at a hundred paces”, given that the “Enemy of the World” seems to involve food tasters, poisonings, assassination and even some agriculture.

  29. Juan says:

    Hot chocolate!

  30. Ranger says:

Tea, Earl Grey, Hot. Yet I must add a spot of milk. Was sooo pleased that Captain Picard had my favorite restorative programmed in!
