Chicago TARDIS Needs Charity Auction Prizes!

Heading to this year’s Chicago TARDIS? Want to help out those in need? Then sign up to be part of the inaugural Chicago TARDIS charity auction, benefiting the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

The Northern Illinois Food Bank has been helping those in the community for 30 years. This year, Chicago TARDIS will host both a silent and a live auction to benefit the charity.

The auction will include merchandise, “special packages” and high end memorabilia.

The convention will host a Live Auction and Social on Friday night and the items that are part of the silent auction will be for viewing all day Friday and Saturday.

If you’d still like to help but don’t want to be part of the auctions, there will be food collection bins for non-perishable items like dry pasta and canned goods by the registration areas. The first 400 attendees that bring 3 or more items for donation will receive a special badge ribbon!

Chicago TARDIS is also looking for anyone willing to donate items or experience packages to the auction to benefit the Food Bank.

For more details and information, check out the Chicago TARDIS website.

Rebecca is new to the Who world, having only recently watched the entire new series in a span of 8 days. She is no stranger to sci-fi though, being a life long Trekkie and has vague memories of seeing the 4th Doctor on US television as a child. When not watching, reading, blogging, or talking about Doctor Who, she is a fan of pop culture and loves movies and books so much she has to keep a list of both so she doesn't forget any of them. She also likes to make attempts at various forms of art including photography and painting. Rebecca is currently working her way through as many classic serials and as many books related to the show that she can find and wishes she could have been with the Doctor and Amy when they met Van Gogh.
