The Ninth Doctor Discussed at the BFI

Last month’s Doctor Who at 50 event at the BFI saw producer Phil Collinson, director Joe Ahearne and actor Bruno Langley (temporary companion Adam in Dalek and The Long Game) discussing the Ninth Doctor’s era and, you’ll see in the clip below, the return of the show after 16 years.

Also part of the event was a screening of Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways, and if you’re interested in any of the other panels that have been held to accompany these monthly screenings, head to the BFI channel on YouTube to view them!

It occurs to me—-Eccleston is getting a ton of stick for not showing up for this, maybe understandably, but where is Russell and Billie? I’m really stunned that Russell couldn’t make to this and I’d also argue that Rose was just as big in that series as the Doctor was so where’s the outrage for her being missing? Bottom line, maybe folks shouldn’t pick on Eccleston too much or not being here. None of the big names made it, really.

    • Hate to break it to ya, but Rose IS actually in the 50th. Look at the poster, on the website, or whatever.

      • Hate to break it to you, but you’ve completely misunderstood Rick’s comment…
