The Day of the Doctor Poster Released

The BBC has released a superb poster image teasing the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, The Day of the Doctor.

There is, of course, little to add at this stage, only to suggest that you gorge your eyes on Matt Smith, David Tennant, John Hurt and the destroyed Daleks, quiz over the relevance of Bad Wolf and wonder just what is happening to the TARDIS…

All the while looking forward to November 23rd, 2013!

It’s gone!! The BBC site had it a moment ago but now it’s leading with *Rings of Akhaten* on iplayer [swallows bit of sick].

    What shenanigans are these?…

Lovely poster though – and does the ‘Bad Wold’ reference mean Piper will be reprising the vortex-suffused Demi-Goddess version of her character? :D And is there something interesting going on with a staircase to the right of Hurt?…

    high def link?

    • That’ll be along later…

  3. Andrew Dorgomire says:

We finally have a proper view of John Hurt’s costume! The leaked pics showed him wearing a blue coat out-of-character and NOTD had him in the shadows. Also, Doctor 8.5 theory gets another tick mark,

  4. Simon Magellan says:

Interesting comment hidden away in the official press release:

“A further exciting commission to be announced later this year will see the celebrations finish with a bang”

    Let the speculation begin…

The Tardis looks like Vincent’s painting of it exploding. Its a clever poster as it gives nothing away really. An exciting final commission sounds interesting. I was hoping for a one off color episode of David Bradley and co as the original Tardis crew myself.
