Doctor Who: 50 Years and Counting [VIDEO]

Few fan-made Doctor Who 50th anniversary video celebrations can be as wonderfully captivating as this superb piece of work by TroughtonLover94. It has simply everything – every Doctor, companion, memorable monster and even Take That.

Yes, Take That’s “The Flood” provides musical accompaniment. But then, given that song title’s relevance to the Doctor’s comic strip adventures, it does seem apt…

Click play. Enjoy.

(Big thanks to Elton for spotting this)

Fantastic Tribute to Doctor Who at 50 very moving!!!

Wish The BBC could come up with something similar

A nice cut. He knows his subject, and there’s no goldfishing for once. Could have done with the odd spot sound effect mind.

Definitely one of the better ones I’ve seen. For once no schmaltzy love song backing it, no focus on shipping, and a nice balance between all the eras of the show. I teared up with the section showing the companion actors who have passed way (nice they remembered Michael Craze and Adrienne Hill) though Hartnell, Troughton, Pertwee, Delgado and Ainley should have been worked in there somehow too. But otherwise I’ve been waiting all year for someone to put together something of this calibre.

Why we all love this show so much – the best clips montage I’ve seen.
