The Light at the End in Limited Vinyl Edition!

As Doctor Who’s 50th birthday bash gets ever nearer, we’re offered more tantalising information on events surrounding the anniversary hootenanny. Big Finish has kindly filled the gap away from TV celebrations by creating a story for the first Eight Doctors, The Light at the End.

With only a few months to wait until release, the clever people at Big Finish are keeping quiet regarding larger plot details for the adventure apart from the fact that it has a lot of Doctors, a lot of companions and Geoffrey Beevers as the Master. For further information, we’ll just have to wait until the time is right.

However, the company has released a tantalising image of the front cover for The Light at the End’s special vinyl release that you’ll be lucky to get your hands on!

The four-disc limited special edition vinyl release will come in deluxe premium packaging which will also include photos of the cast as they create 50th anniversary magic in the studio.

The first three discs will contain the story itself and the last disc will include a 40 minute documentary on the making of the story. There will also be an exclusive lenticular image for those who decide to purchase this very special set. You’ll have to order fast though; they’re limited to only 500 in total.

You can find out more by visiting – and we’ll close with this very cool image of the five Doctors together…

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!

Clever use of Photoshop on the second pic.

Nice idea, Too bad it’s horribly executed. I hope they go back in and fix Tom’s hair, as well as Colin’s and Syl’s heads. At least make them look somewhat like they belong on the bodies.
