PodKast LIVE Commentates Twelfth Doctor Unveiling

At 7pm (UK time) Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor will kick-off, a half hour of TV that will herald the announcement of the identity of the twelfth actor to play the character on the box.

But what if you can’t make it?

You could be, for instance, stranded in a shopping centre, or in a pub with no TV. You might be one of the millions of Americans who doesn’t have access to BBC America, or you could be in bed in Australia.

If you have difficulty watching the show, but can get online, Kasterborous is here for you! We’re live podKasting the event as it happens YouTube, Google Hangouts and right here from 7pm tonight, with Christian Cawley and James McLean. Sadly we don’t think the house band or Brian Terranova can make it, but there’s always next time.

If you miss the live podKast – in which we’ll be reacting to the casting announcement as it happens – don’t worry, as you’ll still be able to catch the podKast on iTunes, RSS, Stitcher, Audioboo and right here on Kasterborous, just as usual. Only it’ll be without the video.

Which might be a blessing.

    Welcome Peter Calpadi!

  8. As a long term watcher (since 1963) I think this a good choice. I look forward to a woman taking the role next time though.

Good stuff guys, most enjoyable. So many Malcolm Tucker quotes come to mind but this probably isn’t the forum to pop them onto…

  10. avatar Bob James says:

Christian, you resemble Richard E. a bit. I mean that as a compliment……..

You guys refer to Smith being a dangerous choice at the time but remember, Moffat had no idea how old he was when he cast him. He thought he was older. Moffat’s never been a fan of casting younger guys and was shocked when he heard how young Smith was after the fact. And yes, Smith was amazing in the role and ranks in the top 3 of my favorite Doctors, behind Tom Baker and Troughton.

Very nice to actually SEE you guys in action during a podkast—you should do this on a regular basis. Enjoyed it quite a bit and Capaldi is an excellent choice. Anyone who thinks he’s actually too old, has obviously just started shaving and has no knowledge of what they’re talking about. I look forward to seeing what Capaldi does with the role.
