Moffat: Capaldi is “Brilliant”

Perhaps the main reason to buy Doctor Who Magazine 464 this week (besides the comic strip) is to find out more about Peter Capaldi’s casting.

Steven Moffat is at hand to introduce the new Doctor to readers of DWM (the magazine will probably use the expected “Peter Capaldi IS the Doctor” headline to herald the actor’s first episode) and even he seems as excited as the rest of us.

“The moment you say his name, you go ‘Of course!’. He’s got the hair, he’s got the look. He’s brilliant. Of course it’s him!

“The Doctor’s always said he is thousands of years old and suddenly he is going to look closer to what we know he secretly is.He won’t be the dashing young man he was a minute ago.”

Want more? Go buy the new issue of Doctor Who Magazine, out Thursday!

  1. I really, really want to read this article in DWM this Thursday. Could you send it to me? I live in the United States and we get DWM about 3 to 4 months after it hits the stands in the UK. :(

Is he calling Peter Capaldi 1000 years old?

No. But even if he was he is still brilliantly cast!

  3. avatar TonyS says:

In the circumstances, Mr Moff is hardly going to call him rubbish, is he?

    • avatar FrancoPabloDiablo says:

Nor is anybody with an ounce of common sense.

For some reason, Moffat sees hair as an important factor, doesn’t he?
