Doctor Who News An Adventure in Space and Time original TARDIS set

The *Other* Comic-Con Trailer…

You’re probably aware that the Doctor Who 50th anniversary panel revealed to fans a much-sought after trailer (that is yet to be released) of the multi-Doctor special scheduled for November 23rd.

When that trailer is available, we expect the Internets to melt, but it wasn’t the only thing on show during the panel, which featured Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss, Matt Smith, Jenna Coleman and David Bradley.

As you’ve probably guessed from that list of names, a trailer for An Adventure in Space and Time was also shown, with guest Bradley starring as William Hartnell in the story of Doctor Who‘s genesis. Unlike the trailer for the main event, Steven Moffat didn’t threaten to pull future Comic Con treats (like he can make good on that threat…) but at this time, only on trailer exists on YouTube.

And it’s bloody awful.

Seriously, we would advise you not to watch the jerky, unfocused and wonky footage (which has since been pulled, but we expect others to appear…) from the back of the auditorium. Instead, wait for the official trailer because all this leak is going to do is spoil dialogue and ruin your expectations.

Thanks for the advice Christian, I think I’ll do as you say. Hope it hasn’t spoilt it for you too!

  2. avatar Al says:

Because I’ve seen people run off-half cocked before, I hope folks do realize you’re refer to the quality of the fan video, not of the trailer itself!

  3. avatar Ian Gettings says:

But how long do we actually have to wait. Watched it coz I begin to doubt if we will actually see it, or the other one, soon? Any news on when…?

  4. avatar johnhurtdoctor says:

Why are we having to wait for these trailers? Why are they exclusive to only an elite few who could go to Comic-Con. Why is this even being shown at Comic-Con? Dr Who ain’t a comic book? Licence Fee payers are being treated terribly! Especially by Moffat! How dare he issue edicts not to leak the trailer!!!!!!!! We paid for the damnable thing!!!!

Then… releasing it officially would be a good idea….

  6. I think this is the real reason they don’t want people to tape these treats. Sorry but shaky camera work in a room full of excited fans is never going to come out well. A little patience. I missed both while being held in line when there were seats, but I can wait….

  7. I must admit I do feel a bit peeved that those of us who can’t afford to go to Comic-Con have to wait to see these trailers… I felt the same in 2009 about the trailer for ‘The End of Time’. Why can’t the BBC screen them here when ComicCon attendees get them? It seems mean, might I even say elitist… perhaps there is a very good reason why, but I find it hard to imagine what. And I really don’t like to complain because I love the show and all should be sweetness and light in this marvelous fiftieth year… but…
