Matt Smith Hosts Imagine Cup Finals Live Online Thursday!

In an unusual public appearance at St Petersburg, Russia, Matt Smith is MCing the Microsoft Imagine Cup Finals, a competition in which gifted young people with interests in science and engineering get to put their ideas to change the world into practice…

$1 million in prizes are up for grabs as these amazing guys get the chance to develop and test apps that could do anything from enable international live musical collaboration to communicating with reptiles (might prove useful when Homo Reptilia reveals itself…)

You can watch the finals, hosted by Matt, live online tomorrow, July 11th at 1.30pm GMT on the official Imagine Cup website.

And look out for more coverage on this event later today, in which Matt makes some startling (for some) revelations…

“$1 million in prizes are up for grabs as these amazing guys ” (or girls). Just a month or two ago, Sara Volz wan a huge award from Intel for algae fuels.

    Anyway, I digress,,,,,
Great to see Matt embracing the geek life fully :)
