Drive a Dalek at York Maze this Saturday!

York Maze is looking for the best dressed Doctor Who or Sci-Fi fan, and is offering a unique prize of taking the controls of a Dalek for the winner, as well as £100 cash prize!

This year York Maze celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who with an amazing Dalek shaped maze. Visitors to the maze will hear the Sixth Doctor, Colin Baker read out clues as they try to conquer the maze and find the TARDIS.

On Saturday 27th July York Maze is hosting a Doctor who and Sci-Fi characters costume day. Come dressed as your favourite Doctor Who or other Sci-Fi show character and enter the competition. There will be a fancy dress parade at 2.30pm and the winner will get the chance go inside a Dalek and threaten to EX-TER-MIN-ATE their friends, family and anyone else at the maze!

Says Tom Pearcy, owner of York Maze:

We are inviting children and adults visiting the maze on Saturday 27th July to get into the spirit of this year’s maze theme by dressing as their favourite Doctor Who or Sci-Fi character. As well as the drive a Dalek experience the winner will also get £100 cash prize. Second place £50, third place £25, with a York Maze goody bag for all children who enter.
