Matt Introduces The Name of the Doctor

Allow the BBC to introduce…I’m sorry what was your name again?

In an exclusive clip Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman introduce this Saturday’s epic finale The Name of the Doctor – promising fans an ending containing ‘the moment of moments’.

Speaking of new foe The Whispermen, Jenna-Louise praised their sense of style and ‘creepy confidence’ while Matt calls them ‘brilliant’ and his favourite of this run.

Breaking down the returning cast of characters including Richard E Grant’s Great Intelligence (well, Richard E Grant playing the character of The Great Intelligence — although he’s no slouch himself), Commander Strax, Jenny and Madame Vastra, Matt’s clearly excited to share with you the big secret of The Name of The Doctor.

About the Author

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.

I can honestly say that I would not watch the new dr who, as I thought that David tennant was by far the best and I have watched and grown up with all but the first. I was coerced into watching the new series by my sons, who are addicted and I have got to say as long as Dr Who runs please don’t leave Matt Smith YOU ARE DR WHO no one has even come close to fitting the role. SO WELL DONE. Thank you for an entertaining and enjoyable show.
