Meet the Ice Warrior in Cold War!

The BBC has released a second clip from this week’s episode of Doctor Who Series 7. Cold War features the return of the Ice Warriors, and in this short scene, the Doctor learns the name of his foe…

For those of you wondering, Grand Marshall Skaldak has not previously appeared in Doctor Who. We hope he’ll be back, though…

The BBC previously released a clip of a nuclear missile launch.

You can watch both clips in context of the full episode of on Saturday, April 13th at 6pm on BBC One and BBC HD and 8 ET on BBC America.

The voice sounds more like a Judoon.

I wonder why the Doctor was so worried when he heard the name?

Sounds like Skaldak is a Martian outcast- possibly a criminal. Maybe under sentence of death by the Ice Warriors?

The grand marshal is an old enemy of the second doctor, This Skladeks second appearance not his only appearance. His first appearance was in Seeds of death, it was thought he died when the race crashed into the sun, thanks to the actions of the second doctor. This was wrong.

    • Look, if this helps you to enjoy the episode, then fine.

However, you’re quite wrong. This is a different Grand Marshall. You know how armies have lots of generals and leaders throughout history?

      Like that.
