G’day and good news for Aussie fans! ABC has confirmed that The Bells of Saint John will make its debut on Easter Sunday, 31 March 2013, at 7.30pm on ABC1 – just a few hours after its UK premiere!
Keep an eye on Clara’s frappacino…
The airtime represents the fastest turnaround ever provided for fans on terrestrial television.
In other news, ABC have confirmed to Gizmondo that they won’t be following last year’s pattern of showing Doctor Who early on iView – its iPlayer-esque catch-up service — as soon as it finishes airing in the UK.
Instead fans will be able to watch the latest episodes an hour after their ABC transmission. Which when compared to the wait fans endured with the classic series, well, it’s no wait at all!
The Bells of Saint John might be about the evil lurking in the Wi-Fi but people please, be aware of a greater evil lurking online – spoilers!
