David Tennant in The Politician's Husband

Here’s David Tennant In The Politician’s Husband!

That David Tennant is getting busier and busier by the minute isn’t he? His latest drama for the BBC is called The Politician’s Husband and tells the story of what happens in a political marriage when the wife becomes more successful than the husband.

The story does sound rather intriguing:

David Tennant stars as Aiden Hoynes, a senior Cabinet Minister, who is happily married to Freya, a junior Minister who has consistently put her own career ambitions on hold for the sake of Aiden’s career and their family.

When Aiden’s career path to the top echelons comes to an abrupt halt, the power balance within his marriage is irrevocably shifted as he witnesses his wife’s political career soar.

In his desperation to cling to power, Aiden risks destroying everything he holds most dear.

It’s coming soon to the BBC and small clips from it can be seen in the new BBC Drama Showcase 2013 advert, which shows some of their biggest treats that they’ve got coming for audiences this year including Sherlock, Luther and of course Doctor Who. The advert also serves as a reminder that there are so many fantastic actors and actresses out there that have still not appeared on Doctor Who but really, really need to.

The Politician’s Husband will be shown later in 2013.

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
