Doctor Who News Hello stonehenge

Hello Stonehenge – The Radio Show

There’s a new radio show in town – and it’s pretty great for Doctor Who fans.

Hello stonehenge 2

Hello Stonehenge, live every Monday, 9-10pm, is, of course, named after that now-famous, triumphant speech in The Pandorica Opens (2010), in which the Doctor essentially threatens off every alien that’s every hated him. The radio show, run by the students’ independent station, Junction 11, is hosted by Theodora Mijailovic and Federica Eff, who say:

We hereby solemnly swear to make your evening awesome by playing the best indie/alternative tunes out there.

Aside from expecting music from, for instance, The Killers, Bright Eyes, and The Gaslight Anthem (plus, no doubt, bands nobody’s ever heard of), the show has a Doctor Who tinge, as Theo and Effie throw in plenty of references and occasionally run through a Doctor Who timeline, telling listeners what happened on specific days in Who history.

You can suggest songs to them over Facebook, and ‘like’ the show to receive little tidbit and memes of the Whoniverse you might’ve missed (like Van Gogh’s painting, The Pandorica Opens, appearing on The Big Bang Theory!).

Listen to them live every Monday night at Junction 11.

    Hi there,

I’m the Head of Tech at Junction11, and this is just a quick note to say that Junction11 is spelt like that (no space between Junction and 11)

    Thanks,

    David
