Time to get more excited about this years’ drama An Adventure in Space and Time, the story about Doctor Who’s inception, as pictures are released showing the filming taking place at the what was the BBC’s Television Centre.
I’ll miss this kind of stuff when they finally shut #TVCentre. Arrive for work & they’re filming Dr Who in reception!! twitter.com/mrjakehumphrey…

One picture, updated by one Jake Humphrey via Twitter, showed the reception area of TV centre being transformed into the BBC Club circa 1963. The other, courtesy of Andrew Mark Sewell via Facebook, shows an overhead, slightly blurred image of David Bradley as William Hartnell, with the actors who will be playing Jacqueline Hill and William Russell also in the shot. You might also see the actress playing Verity Lambert, Jessica Raine, as well.
An Adventure in Space and Time is written and Produced by Mark Gatiss, with Steven Moffat and Caroline Skinner as Executive Producers and will air sometime in 2013 as part of Doctor Who’s fiftieth anniversary celebrations.
Interestingly enough, the idea for the story was pitched by Mark Gatiss over ten years ago as part of Doctor Who’s fortieth anniversary but the BBC apparently rejected it claiming that there was no available slot or budget for it, what a difference ten successful years back on television can make!
An Adventure in Space and Time will be aired later on this year.
