Nazi Nasty Elizabeth Klein Returns!

Just when you thought you may have seen the last of Elizabeth Klein, the nasty Nazi from Big Finish Seventh Doctor stories such as Colditz, she turns up for another round of Doctor Who.

Doctor Who's resident Nazi returns in a new trilogy in 2013

Big Finish have announced that Tracey Childs will be reprising her role as Klein for three new Seventh Doctor stories in July 2013, forming Sylvester McCoy’s latest trilogy for the company.

After the events of Colditz, which also featured a young and fairly unknown actor called David Tennant, Klein was left abandoned by the Doctor after he stopped her from changing history. She returned to trouble him in a trilogy of stories in 2010 starting with A Thousand Tiny Wings and ending all rather dramatically in The Architects of History. She also appeared in the special 2012 Big Finish box set UNIT: Dominion in which she played the secret organisation’s scientific adviser.

For her new trilogy of adventures, she’ll be taking a short break from her duty of science to travel the stars with the Seventh Doctor; quite where that will lead her however, is anyone’s guess. Her first two stories will be called Persuasion and Starlight Robbery while the third is yet to be announced. It has been confirmed however, that Klein will have an assistant of her own this time around called Will Arrowsmith who will be played by Christian Edwards. Will he be a Nazi sympathiser, a rotten egg or on the side of good? Only time will tell, it usually does…

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
