Coming in April, the Exeter Phoenix will be hosting Phonicon 2013 – a sci-fi convention like no other set up in aid of Phonic FM, Exeter’s alternative community FM & online radio station.

Organised and attended by Starburst Magazine Blue Box Podcast hosts Mark Cockram, J.R. Southall, Lee Rawlings and Simon Brett the event promises convention goers an eclectic mix of artists, writers, filmmakers, actors and merchants.
While most guests are, as always, subject to availability names already announced include: writer, director and Dalek Operator (who doesn’t want that as a by-line?) Nicholas Pegg and Barnaby Edwards, Chicks Unravel Time writer Mags Halliday and Who’s Next writer Mark Clapham.
Bringing their wares to the merchandise room will be providers of all kinds of geek wares OMG!, rare film memorabilia dealers Moving Pictures and the handmade shiny goodies from Goblin Dreams.
Tickets and the official site for Phonicon 2013 will be available during January but for now, keep your eyes peeled on the convention’s Facebook page.
