Eoin Colfer writes A Big Hand to the Doctor

Colfer Discusses the Doctor’s “Big Hand”

New Doctor Who eBook writer Eoin Colfer – he of Artemis Fowl and the sixth Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy novel – has appeared on YouTube to talk about A Big Hand For The Doctor and his love of the series.

Recalling the wonder of research for writing the story (“lying on the sofa watching 25 episodes”) and explaining a bit about the background (the Doctor and Susan – pre-An Unearthly Child – travel to Victorian London), this is an interesting teaser both into this particular tale and the series as a whole.

Note that you can also see this video on Kasterborous TV.

Remember that one new eStory, each with a different Doctor is released each month, written by a renowned children’s author, until November as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations. A printed anthology of the stories will be released later this year.

A Big Hand For The Doctor is now available on Kindleand in the iBookstore for £1.99.
