Royal Mail Unveils Doctor Who Anniversary Stamps

The Royal Mail has today revealed its remarkable collection of Doctor Who stamps, timed to coincide with the series’ 50th anniversary in 2013.

Featuring the faces of all 11 television incarnations of the Time Lord on the first class set, a second class collection is also available, sporting a Dalek, an Ood, a Weeping Angel and a Cyberman.

“We are delighted to be able to celebrate this remarkable 50th anniversary. These stamps pay tribute to the brilliant actors that have played the Doctor over the years as well as the adversaries that helped make the show so popular.

This seems to be one of the classier examples of 50th anniversary merchandise – we suspect it will prove extremely popular.
