The Minster of Chance Back for Part 4

If there’s one thing that Doctor Who does well, it’s a spin off. From Torchwood to The Sarah Jane Adventures, not forgetting Big Finish’s series of Gallifrey adventures and Jago and Litefoot.

So it’s no surprise that the spin off series from Death Comes to Time, a sort lived adventure for the Seventh Doctor and Ace, has seen such critical success with The Minister of Chance.

Originally played by Stephen Fry, the Minister was a fellow Time Lord to the Doctor and one that packed a fair wallop with his self-righteousness. The character has seen recent brilliance with his own series of independently funded adventures starring Julian Wadham and those have done so well that the company behind them are making more – good news for all of you fans out there!

Episode four of the saga was given the green light based entirely on fan support but the recording was delayed due to one of the cast members, Lauren Grace, having a baby.

But the makers of the series have not been lazy and in the brief interim, they have already written the script for episode five but in order for it to move forward, it needs more of your support.

As a result, the crowd funding support starts again, so Facebook your friends, retweet all messages, let everyone know that this is happening.

Don’t disappoint the Minister – head to www.ministerofchance.com for full details.

Update

We’ve just heard that Hobbit / Lord of The Rings star Jed Brophy will be joining The Minister of Chance, recording episode 5 in the UK in December.

“I’m flattered to work with the Minister of Chance team… it’s a great project to be part of and I love the fact that it’s so familiar in its outlook and prospects, like the good folk of Weta and Wingnut. It’s a family of collective inspiration.” Minister of Chance director Dan Freeman said “I can’t wait. He’s such an interesting performer and a nice bloke. We became instant old friends.”

Great news!
