The big question that everyone’s asking regarding Doctor Who’s fiftieth anniversary next year is: who, if any, of the past Doctor’s might make a return appearance to the show to help out Matt Smith’s incarnation?
The production team and the stars of the show are remaining tight lipped, who knows if they’ve even come up with a script as of yet, but one actor who is remaining elusive and vague is David Tennant.
Whilst being interviewed by Grant Lauchlan on Moviejuice regarding his newest movie, Nativity 2, Tennant was asked if he would be returning next year to don the old pin stripe suit. The actor, whilst chomping away on Scottish tablet, played with his interviewer like a cat with a mouse and left the question open and unanswered but knowing the BBC, he’s been sworn to secrecy even if he has signed up. In fact the actor summed up exactly what the situation is for plans regarding the Doctor Who fiftieth anniversary at the moment pretty astutely:
I’ve nothing to tell you. But, if I did I wouldn’t tell you it, so, you know, deal with that.
Whilst we all wait with baited breath to find out if any other incarnations of the Doctor will be making an appearance in Doctor Who next year, the entire production is being kept closely guarded, as Tennant proved with his comments.
We wait, as ever, to find out any more tantalising facts about next year’s massive birthday bash
