In just a few weeks’ time it will be 2013 – which means that we will be in Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary year. But who will be involved in any multi-Doctor specials?
David Tennant was accosted on the red carpet at the premier of Nativity 2 this week and asked if he would be returning to the TARDIS for a special appearance. You can see his answer below (from 1:26)
If you’re unable to view the clip for any reason, the following response was uttered by David:
“I can’t imagine there even are gonna be any anniversary celebrations, are there? Look at my agent getting twitchy!”
Indeed…
David then goes on to talk about Broadchurch (by Chris Chibnall, and featuring Arthur Darvill) and Spies of Warsaw (which features Torchwood‘s Burn Gorman) – plenty for David Tennant fans to get excited about!

Why do they bother asking him or anyone else connected with the programme whether they are coming back?
Even if they have been asked or are in discussions they are not going to say so are they?
This is all top secret until next year.
Anyway, it’s seems to be the same old people from the new series that keep getting asked these questions.
I am sure Barrowman will be turning up to the opening of an envelope next week, maybe they could ask him again?
…and then back to Tennant via Piper Via Tate and Ageyman – ignoring all the folk from the `classic’ series of course.
