BFI: See Air Lock in Full

Previously believed lost Season Three episode, Air Lock, is heading to the big screen next month in London as part of the BFI’s annual Missing Believed Wiped event.

The episode will form part of the event’s first session, The Weird and the Wonderful, and, in March, will be released as bonus episode on the special edition DVD release of The Aztecs.

Additionally, the second and concluding session of this year’s Missing Believed Wiped – Music And Entertainment - will include the recovered March 1966 edition of BBC TV’s youth culture show, A Whole Scene Going, that featured a location report from the filming of Daleks – Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D.

Previously, an excerpt from the Galaxy 4 episode was shown as a surprise part of last year’s BFI showcase, as was the screening in full of episode 2 of The Underwater Menace, whose recovery had similarly been kept under wraps until then.

Both episodes were shown in full in Cardiff in May.

Tickets for both sessions go on sale at 11:30am Tuesday 13th November with the event due to take place on the 2nd December at the BFI Southbank.

About the Author

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
