Matt Smith’s Breaking Bad Crossover Dream

As fan fiction goes Doctor Who and Breaking Bad don’t make for easy bedfellows – one has a carefree, positive attitude that constantly strives to see the good in all; the other wants you to see the lengths the American middle class will go to with nothing to lose, constantly confounds you and asks uneasy questions.

Speaking to Radio 1’s Fearne Cotton, Matt Smith revealed that his dream Doctor Who crossover would be with Meth-a-thon drama Breaking Bad:

“I’ve been loving Breaking Bad… I’d love the Doctor to meet Heisenberg in Breaking Bad… Breaking Bad flips your world upside down.”

While Matt isn’t being entirely serious what other TV series would you like to see the TARDIS crash into? How about the doctor treading the boards in Atlantic City for Boardwalk Empire? Fighting to survive the zombie apocalypse in The Walking Dead? Or fleeing the ungodly evil that dwells in the hearts of the darkest souls in EastEnders?

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
