So you find yourself following on from two very successful actors in Doctor Who. They’ve been playing the Doctor’s travelling companions for two and a half years, the longest that any of the Doctor’s friends have stayed with him since 2005. Their last five episodes have achieved high ratings and have been praised worldwide.
What advice would you most like to be given?
Luckily, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill weren’t short for a few words of friendly advice to offer to Jenna Louise-Coleman as she prepares to become a full time TARDIS dweller from December 25th 2012. Darvill was in full praise of Coleman’s ability to act and was very positive that she would bring something special to the role; it was Karen Gillan, however, who offered the best words for Coleman to pay attention to:
But I’d probably just say ‘Don’t Google yourself!’

We’re willing to bet that Gillan isn’t exaggerating either, working on Doctor Who must be one of the maddest experiences ever! Gillan’s final bit of advice for Coleman was to not Google herself, sound advice if you don’t want to face an onslaught of very mixed reactions!
