Paterson Joseph talked recently about his time on Doctor Who when filming the Ninth Doctor’s last ever story, Bad Wolf and The Parting of the Ways to Wales Online.
Joseph’s character was a smug and snide contestant who was playing alongside Rose in the futuristic and very deadly version of The Weakest Link. He was hated by millions as he tried to beat her at the contest to not only win money but avoid death as well. His character, after proving to be quite the coward, was then murdered by the Daleks, a race he insisted were long dead.
Recalling his guest spot on the show, the actor commented:
Joseph, who is currently starring in Julius Caeser as Brutus, also appears in channel four comedy Peep Show as Alan Johnson, the smart and smarmy businessman. Many of you may also remember that a few years ago, when casting rumours regarding the Eleventh Doctor were doing the rounds that Paterson was strongly rumoured to be taking over the TARDIS after the departure of David Tennant.
He’s certainly a versatile enough actor, maybe one day we’ll see him take on a Dalek and win!
