Andrew Cartmel Needs You!

Here’s your chance to get involved in a brand new fanzine dedicated to bringing ‘The Cartmel Masterplan’ to fruition.

Fan Ficition Illustrated, the brain child of writer/editor Hans Christian Vang, promises comic strips written by fans for fans with the occasional contribution by a guest star from the professional ranks – in fact, one such guest star loved the idea so much that he’s joined the project.

Andrew Cartmel was a man with a vision for how Doctor Who should continue its late revival into the nineties. Sadly, history had other ideas and curtailed his ‘masterplan’ before any of his ideas could be implemented.

Now, with help from your donations via the Indiegogo pre-order launch, Andrew plans to tell those lost adventures of the Seventh Doctor and Ace in each successive issue.

That’s not all; the first issue’s 70 pages will feature 4 stories:

•Andrew Cartmel’s Seventh Doctor & Ace adventure: “Phantom Freight.” Art by Emerson Dimaya

•Paul Cooke’s “The Cabe” – a prequel to Terror of the Zygons. Art by Adrian Salmon!

•Mike Dwyer’s Fifth Doctor & Peri adventure: “Phantom of the Space Opera.” Art by Flavio Bezerra

•Plus a very special Ducktor Who adventure authored by “Lord Aylesbury Mallard” and illustrated by “Vincent Van Duck”

What’s more, the PodKast (with a K) will be interviewing both Andrew and Hans in an upcoming edition of your favourite Who podcast.

For all your donation options, check out the Fan Fiction Illustrated Indiegogo page.

About the Author

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
