Who-ray – It’s Dalekmania 2!

Head to Stockton-on-Tees for Dalekmania 2 on September 22ndStockton-On-Tees are you ready? Doctor Who’s 50th birthday is fast approaching next year but the good people at Stockton Central library (working with Who-ray! Gifts and Collectibles) will be bringing the party forward to Saturday 22nd September 2012 with Dalekmania 2: Day of the Daleks!

Between 10am and 4pm you can meet Skaro’s finest up close and personal, get close to a replica TARDIS and even have a look at the premiere of a special Dalek fan film, which will be shown throughout the day. You can come dressed up as your favourite Doctor Who character, maybe the Doctor, maybe Rassilon or maybe even Meglos if you’re feeling brave. Maybe you have a Dalek of your own that you do not want to leave at home because he’s not house trained yet, that won’t be a problem because he’s invited as well!

And the best part is that the whole event is free to attend  (however it should be known that professional photos will cost £5.00 each).

The Who-ray! Shop will also be there for you to get your hands on some top quality Doctor Who merchandise and complete any gaps in your collectible collection and if the whole day’s events aren’t enough to entice you then let it be known that Kasterborous’s Editor-in-Chief Christian Cawley will also be in attendance throughout the day for you to have a little chat with, the best news being that we managed to convince him not to go dressed as Leela of the Sevateem (although it was close and took three interventions).

If you can get yourself free during the day, come to Stockton central library for Dalekmania 2: Day of the Daleks! Find out more on the Who-ray! website.

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
