According to Toy News, a new Doctor Who trading card game is set to hit the market next year.
Made by Topps, the range will include starter packs and collectors tins alongside traditional packets, and is set to feature characters and images since the show’s return in 2005.
Topps entertainment marketing manager, Louise Ramplin, said:
Doctor Who has always been a highly successful licence for us for our sticker collections, so we are very excited to have a brand new Doctor Who trading card game to add to our portfolio.
The company has previously released Doctor Who sticker collections, starting with a 2006 album with David Tennant’s Tenth Doctor at the helm, with a new album – featuring Matt Smith – out in 2010.
To celebrate the show’s 50th anniversary, Topps will also produce a line of memorabilia – though how this actually manifests is still under-wraps.
