CafePress – the online print on demand service that allows fans to customise merchandise to their hearts content – have announced a 50th Anniversary licencing agreement with BBC Worldwide America to produce uniquely branded merchandise for the celebrations – reports Nasdaq.
Director of Marketing at CafePress, Marc Cowlin said:
“Doctor Who fans span several generations and we’re genuinely excited to be part of this phenomenon and make this shop available to such loyal and passionate supporters. Whovians can prepare themselves to celebrate the pending 50th Anniversary of the show with truly unique gear.”
Already announced ‘unique gear’ include: ‘Bow Ties are Cool’ and Cybermen t-shirts, Sonic Screwdriver hoodies and TARDIS car stickers – with Fans will also have the print-on-demand option, where they can order the size, colour, fashion, body and graphic to suit their taste.
Through this partnership, which runs until December 2014, new designs will be released regularly to celebrate the constantly evolving Doctor Who phenomena as well as milestones for the show.
