Liz Shaw remembers The Last Post in Caroline John's last Big Finish adventure

The Last Post Cover Released

Liz Shaw remembers The Last Post in Caroline John's last Big Finish adventureIt’s one of those bittersweet moments where you don’t quite know how to act. With the sad passing of Caroline John recently, everyone felt the great loss that occurred but for one more month we can all enjoy her performance as Dr Liz Shaw again with the upcoming Big Finish release, The Last Post.

Many will smile at hearing the actress bring the character to life one final time and many will also feel sad as John does indeed bring the character to life for one, final time.

But at least The Last Post was a happy experience for all involved and if fate had not intervened, a sequel would have been in the works, as Producer David Richardson explained:

“Carry [John] really enjoyed working on this script, and the chance to work with Rowena Cooper as Liz’s mother, Emily. It was such a happy recording day that we had made plans for a sequel, which was storylined. But it was not to be.”

However, through all the sadness, we get to enjoy one last round with Liz Shaw before she goes and joins a great many other actors and actresses in the great TARDIS in the sky, savour this one last trip.

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
