It’s one of those bittersweet moments where you don’t quite know how to act. With the sad passing of Caroline John recently, everyone felt the great loss that occurred but for one more month we can all enjoy her performance as Dr Liz Shaw again with the upcoming Big Finish release, The Last Post.
Many will smile at hearing the actress bring the character to life one final time and many will also feel sad as John does indeed bring the character to life for one, final time.
But at least The Last Post was a happy experience for all involved and if fate had not intervened, a sequel would have been in the works, as Producer David Richardson explained:
However, through all the sadness, we get to enjoy one last round with Liz Shaw before she goes and joins a great many other actors and actresses in the great TARDIS in the sky, savour this one last trip.
