Say Hello to John (B)Arrowman

It seems that John Barrowman has joined the cast of Arrow, a TV series based DC’s legendary Green Arrow comics.

Barrowman – who starred as Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who and Torchwood – will play a recurring role as a “well-dressed man” in the debut season; someone who is:

“as mysterious as he is wealthy … he is an acquaintance of the Queen family and a prominent figure in Starling City.”

The Green Arrow is played by Stephen Amell, while Arrow also features Gossip Girl’s Katie Cassidy, The OC’s Willa Holland and Charlie’s Angels’ Annie Ilonzeh. The show, which garnered rave reviews at the Comic Con, is written by Greg Berlanti (Green Lantern) and Marc Guggenheim (The Amazing Spider-Man comic).

The series premieres on CW on 10th October, and Sky 1 will air it soon after.

When he’s not watching television, reading books ‘n’ Marvel comics, listening to The Killers, and obsessing over script ideas, Philip Bates (Kasterborous' Assistant Editor) pretends to be a freelance writer. He enjoys collecting everything.
