Anyone scared of clowns… look away now!
Matt Smith joined a plethora of celebrities sporting face paint at the adidas Underground party in Shoreditch.
Matt might’ve reminded Who fans of The Greatest Show in the Galaxy or The God Complex, but he donned the clown make-up – alongside stars like actor, director and singer, Ben Drew (aka. Plan B), and actress, Jamie Winstone – after a screening of The Chemical Brothers’ Don’t Think.
At the event, organised to celebrate the Olympics, Matt spent much of his time with former Bond girl, Rosamund Pike, who said she was “enjoying every minute of it.”
As an ex-footballer, Matt’s obviously a big fan of the Olympics, having also starred in Bert & Dickie, the story of two double scull Olympians in 1948. In fact, he was seen in the Olympic Park with his Bert & Dickie co-star, Sam Hoare, just a few days ago.
Okay, Matt. Now get back to filming!

Reminds me of the balloon holding clown who appeared in The God Complex last series.
Always wondered if that was played by Matt actually.
Anyone know??
Although there was a rumour going around after the initial trailer, Matt didn’t play the clown… but I can’t find out who actually did, merely because it wasn’t a speaking part, so he’s not credited anywhere!
If only the clown had answered Rita…
Thanks for the confirmation!
He certainly resembled Matt, I wonder if they cast him for that reason?
