The good people at Crave Online have brought a series of small interviews (hosted by Athena Stamos, their resident Doctor Who fan) with some familiar Who faces to the stomping ground of YouTube to promote the series.
They were all given the challenge of describing their character/the Doctor with one word, with those who couldn’t think of one using some neat solutions to get out of it…
Stamos: Can you describe the Doctor in one word?
Steven Moffat: …no!
Indeed, Arthur Darvill (whose name is spelled incorrectly in the video itself) comes up with some interesting words: “Salnerable” (sassy+vulnerable, given when Karen couldn’t answer) and “awkhero” (we imagine this one is pretty obvious).
Matt Smith, meanwhile, contributed by coming up with the answer “alien”. When asked who he’d like to travel with from past companions, he said
Stamos: “So, if you want to pick a past companion, who would you love to travel with?”
Smith: Ooh…I’d probably say Rose, because I’m good friends with Billie [Piper]. Yeah, I’d say Rose.
Indicative of future plans, perhaps?
Time and space do not permit us to talk about all the cool things this collection of interviews brings up (they also touch upon who is better, the Doctor or Sherlock, and they talk about the new companion); suffice to say that the best way to know is to watch it. It’s only five minutes long, after all!
