Ayslum Scheduling Intrigue Continues!
Do we have an airdate yet? Well, kinda!
Okay, it’s not the UK airdate for Series 7 but still, it’s a definitive step towards identifying just when the Doctor will be back on our screens.
Doctor Who TV reported yesterday BBC America aired a trailer (which has subsequently disappeared from the BBC America Facebook page) within which the end title card and voiceover revealed the show would return September 8th.
Now you might be saying; “Well that’s it then, September 8th it is!” however subsequent airings reverted back to the generic ‘New Season: Coming This Fall’ caption – perhaps indicating that someone at BBC America may have jumped the gun.
Outside of this one snafu; BBC America have not announced a date anywhere else; only stating that:
“We’ll be announcing the broadcast date of this, the first episode of Season 7 later this week.”
Regarding the UK air date, Kasterborous commenter Tig Lang, pointed out that the Scotland/Border publishing run of the Radio Times promises in next week’s edition: ‘Doctor Who Is back!’ as well as offering an episode guide by Steven Moffat (and a Dalek wallchart!)
So, if taken literally, it looks likely that Asylum of the Daleks could air on 1st September where, conveniently, there are still open slot(s) in the BBC 1 schedule from 6.30pm until 8.20pm.
Expect an official announcement in the coming days but for more speculation, developments and general Doctor Who goodness why not head over to the Kasterborous Forum (using the link below) and share your opinion.
The broadcast date and time have now been confirmed.
