Doctor Who News Matt Smith and Karen Gillan Arrive at Premiere of Asylum of the Daleks!

1.21 Gigawatts!

Here, ladies and gentlemen, is a selection of images from BBC America that confirms the rumours – Matt Smith and Karen Gillan really did arrive at the New York premiere of Asylum of the Daleks in a pair of DeLoreans!

The DeLorean – built by the doomed DMC company in the mid-1980s – was the real star of the Back to the Future trilogy (1985-1989) which starred Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd. Able to travel through time, the flux-capacitor-powered sports car was barely more reliable than the TARDIS!

We think you’ll agree that they both look pretty snappily dressed, and for more images from the event check out our spoiler-free report on the day, by Kasterborous associate editor Brian Terranova.
