We’ve had claims, denials and now this: news that both Madame Vastra and her close friend Jenny will appear in Doctor Who Series 7 – in the episode currently shooting!
Whether the Victorian setting is causing excitement of the imagination or whether lesbian Silurians will wander alongside Dame Diana Rigg’s old Yorkshire woman isn’t going to be confirmed just yet, we suspect, but the rumours are continuing this week.
Regular location snapper and reporter Ryan Farrell has tweeted about both Vastra and Jenny over the last few hours.

For people who are asking, Madame Vastra is back as well, but she wasn’t in Rhymney today. #dwsr

Well, you could hardly have one without the other, could you?
Catrin Stewart’s Jenny and Neve McIntosh’s Madame Vastra both notably appeared on Series 6′s A Good Man Goes to War, of course, setting pulses racing with their cross-species lesbian love.
Whatever happens in this episode it is clearly turning into one that will provide plenty of spectacle when it is eventually aired, probably next year.

Yes! Yes! Yes! And Yes!
Hoooraaaaahhh!
The Doctor in Victorian times is always something special. Well nearly.
Best news I’ve heard all week!
Now as long as nobody takes advice from, say, Joss Whedon on whether they should both survive the episode–!
(I do like Mr. Whedon, it’s just that … )
Loving Matt’s new costume. It has a very HG Wells Time Machine feel to it.
Not to go too off topic, but I also like the Doctor’s new threads. I like that they are letting Matt change up rather than keep him in a “uniform”.
